Dancercise is just what it says on the cake tin. Dance and exercise and toning and stretching; but all done to favourite dance and show music, so that every class is great fun and full of laughs.
The work is principally about stretching, improving posture and flexibility; bringing back muscle tone, particularly at the core, and generally conditioning the whole body. Most of the work is with feet (alternating with various other parts of the body) firmly on the ground, and there is not too much jumping about. There is minimal aerobic content, but you can certainly build up a fair sweat (or a lady’s glow!) if you want to, and there is little or no ‘high impact’.
TUESDAY, at the Motcombe Memorial Hall, SP7 9PE
10:45 – 11:45 | Dancercise |
The music is fun and funky, using modern, pop and jazz; and a lot of West End and Broadway musical numbers to make every class interesting.
She will teach you some of the real steps and routines, and you will quickly find yourself part of the chorus line from Cabaret or Chicago.
